Indoor or Outdoor screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show in Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and surrounding areas in South East Queensland.

Rocky Horror is a great fun movie for audience participation.

We are looking at the idea of organising an all age Rocky Horror dress up movie night at a venue in Ipswich.

Expressions of interest in attending or other comments or sugestions are welcome.

Dress Up Competition
Encourage your audience to dress up as the movie characters and hold a best costume competition.

Dance the Time Warp again

You can also hold a Time Warp dance competition at your event before the movie.

1. (It's just a) JUMP TO THE LEFT, with hands UP.

2. A STEP TO THE RIGHT.

3. (With your hands on your HIPS) YOU BRING YOUR KNEES IN TIGHT.

4. (Then) THE PELVIC THRUST (if repeated FIVE times, it nearly drives you insa-a-ane)

5. HIPSWIVEL (if not driven insa-a-ane by step four)

6. LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!

Audience Partici.........................pation
Rocky Horror also lends itself to audience participation throughout the movie itself involving audience comments and using various props during the movie. A props list is provided lower on the page however which props you allow your audience to bring may depend on the venue for your screening.

Props List

Rice: Throw rice when the movie crowd throws rice during the opening wedding scene.

Newspapers: Put a newspaper over your head like Janet when she is caught in the rainstorm. Necessary if water pistols are used.

Water pistols: These represent the rainstorm (and explain the newspapers). Caution: many theaters do not allow water.

Flashlights/glowsticks: Use during the ‘‘There’s a light’’ verse of ‘‘Over at the Frankenstein Place.’’ Candles and lighters used to be used as well, but most theaters have those crazy rules against open flames.

Rubber gloves: During the creation speech, the audience should snap their gloves along with Frank.

Noisemakers: Celebrate the creation speech along with the Transylvanians.

Toilet Paper: Throw rolls of toilet paper when Dr. Scott enters the lab and Brad cries out ‘‘Great Scott!’’

Toast: Throw it when Frank proposes a toast at dinner. Most theaters (and audiences) prefer unbuttered toast.

Bell: Ring when Frank sings ‘‘Did you hear a bell ring?’’ during the song ‘‘Planet Schmanet.’’

Playing cards: Toss them during song ‘‘I’m going home’’ when Frank sings ‘‘Cards for sorrow, cards for pain.’’
